HAPPY ENDINGS >

Jutta - Marketing Manager

Maybe it's because I'm getting older and I just plan to do what I want to do, maybe it's more confidence or maybe it's just more wisdom, but I really can't do with all the rubbish that comes with most marketing agencies ("Yes of course it was our 'A' team that did this, oh you think it looks like the work of the 'Teaboy' team, OK I'll run it by my Account Executive, who will run it by his Account Director and we can book time in to see the Creative Director, but he does Tai Chi on Thursdays, kind of thing"). I really just want an easy life, when I ask for something doing, I want it done, is that too much to ask? I don't think so.

So when I came across Wallpaper, I thought stupid name but I'll give them a chance. So I did, three years later they are still taking their chance.

And all I would say is I'm happy, really really happy, my life is complete.

Andrea - Marketing Director

Time poor and information rich, what I really need from a marketing agency is one that listens, understands and implements.

I have worked with Wallpaper for more years than I care to remember. They are definitely different, like to walk on the wild side, certainly deliver on the brief and so much more. Even after all this time, they still continue to surprise me and make me smile.

PS: Horseradish on tuna mayo sandwiches, genius.

Neil - Business Consultant

Time poor. Information rich. Change management. Unmoveable deadlines. The context never changes, the challenges do.

After 35 years of working with marketing agencies, from provincial to international, what is it that makes a good agency an outstanding one?

EMPATHY

You need an agency that is an extension of your team, understands your business, delivers on the brief, is proactive to your needs, has a real rapport with you, provides practical solutions and is a source of inspired thinking.

I have worked with Wallpaper for more years than I care to remember. They are definitely different. They deliver. Even after all this time, they still continue to surprise me and make me smile.

PS. I still can’t putt though.

Joanna - Marketing Manager

Maybe it's my age (wrong side of mid-twenties), my oversize glasses, or my always latest iPhone, but if I had a pound for every time I was tarred with the stereotypical girly in Marketing brush I’d, well, I’d be rich enough to not work in Marketing. Agencies I’ve worked with to date have without fail, taken my brief, assumed they know better, and by the time I’ve been passed from Account Exec, to Account Manager, to Creative Director and back again, have received something that's so far from the original concept it’s unrecognisable (and not in a good way). That was until 3 years ago I was introduced to Wallpaper, who made the actual effort to learn about our company, our style and our vision.

Now, as if by magic, the ideas that fly around in my head appear on screen looking better than even I’d envisioned. But I guess Wallpaper would dispute it being solely magic, in fact I think they’d argue they have quite a bit to do with it.

Barry - PR Director and Salami Man

I’ve always loved the idea of graphic designers, but ended up hating designers as they all need spoon feeding, unable to think for themselves. They are normally incapable of putting conceptual images on the page without me providing them with textual content. It seems their brain cells aren’t wired that way. Their cry is always “I can’t start until I have written content”, which has always infuriated me; “You’re the bloody designer” I have cried at them “YOU TELL ME WHAT YOU NEED!!!” Damn it. Create design concepts that dictate what content I need to write!

Until now that is!

There are design agencies and there is Wallpaper, they see things in an entirely different way. They see images and text together. They see in 4D. They see in a way that creates a ‘campaign’ image early on. Therefore a simple brand becomes an advertising campaign, a piece of design for print has a life of its own, They go beyond concept and create an overall strategy, particularly when you the client hasn’t asked for it. They go the extra mile. That is the ‘whatever ingredient’ that sets Wallpaper apart from the rest.

After 25 years working in a creative agency and now setting out to create a new food brand making Italian cured meats, Wallpaper is the only design ‘wingman’ you need.

David - Creative Director, Wallpaper

Welcome to Wallpaper, an independent, creative and integrated agency which specialises in marketing, branding, design and interactive media. Together we create and build brands and communications for our clients.

For us, a brand is not just the logo, it's everything, it lives, it breathes, it beats, it should never stand still, it is king. By gaining a complete understanding of our clients and their needs we have developed creative marketing solutions that make our client's brands stand out from the competition. We might be new, but we have years of experience in developing brands and communications across all vertical markets. We love what we do and this motivates us to be different in the way we work, in the way we communicate and in what we deliver.

We aim to make the people we deal with happy, and if they're happy, we are.
